Head has been left off for buyers inspection.
The car also has fibeglass fender flares, fiberglass hood and air dam, 15" aluminum wheels on slicks, roll cage, new Sparco Rev drivers seat, Auto meter guages, aluminum door panels and dash board, lexan windows, coil over suspension, front disc brakes with rear drums. The car needs a fuel cell, wiring and plumbing to be a runner. I have owned the car for 4 years and don't have the time to finish the project. I have all receipts and close to $10,000 invested so far.

This early 2002 has been heavily modified and run in SCCA Autocross events. It has extensive fiberglass bodywork and a freshly rebuilt 2.0L race engine. Find it here on Craigslist in Bellevue, Washington for $10k as-is.
We like the box flares and the white interior, cage, and exterior. The car could likely use a re-paint, so the M-stripe scheme could stay or go. The big forged aluminum wheels and slicks make for an aggressive look, and the sale also includes and additional set. The front of the car is menacing with removed headlights and large radiator cutouts.
The interior is fully gutted for racing. We like the clean white look, and this sheet metal dash would look great in black crinkle finish. We most often favor the vintage feel of a stock dash pad, but this one works with the overall purpose and reminds us of the 3.5 CSL race cars.
The engine looks very clean after the rebuild, and the twin side-draft Webers are the perfect set-up. The installation needs finishing, but the 2L mated to a close-ratio 5-speed is a killer combination.
The $10k price tag on this one could be right for someone looking for a bargain BMWCCA or SCCA race car. Autocross is not our favorite, but watching a car like this one go through the cones would definitely be a thrill.
